Mr. Everett presents his Compliments
to the Earl of Aberdeen, and, in reply to His Lordship's Note of yesterday, has the honour to state that Mr
Everett is without any direct information whether Mr. Waldron, lately appointed United States Consul at Hong Kong, is at present residing at that place, but he supposes that such is the fact :
Mr Everett will take the earliest opportunity of suggesting to his Government the advantage of conveying to the Foreign Office, together with applications for Consular Exequaturs in Her Majesty's Colonies, information whether the person appointed is already at his place of destination; and Mr Everett has the honour.
